Thursday 9th October, 7:15pm: “The Unknown God: Scripture and Tradition” – Discovering the ‘unknowing’ of God in the Bible, early church and Christian thought
Thursday 16th October, 7:15pm: “When words run out: speaking of the infinite” – If God is beyond us, how can we speak of him? Exploring the paradox of talk about God.
Thursday 23rd October: 7:15pm: “The Word made flesh: God, known and unknown”: does Jesus’ Incarnation ‘explain’ God, or deepen the mystery? How to approach the doctrine of God in Christ.
Thursday 30th October: 7:15pm: “Living the mystery: prayer and ethics” – How might an apophatic awareness of God affect our prayer, our attitudes and our actions?
Each Thursday will be preceded by Mass at 6:30pm.
